Mahi is an esteemed economist whose illustrious career spans the globe’s foremost financial markets and economic centers. Born in Greece and educated in London in Econometrics and further studies in Alternative Investments, Mahi possesses an exceptional comprehension of the global economy, investment strategies, and technology sectors, particularly that of data analytics with AI. Commencing her professional journey in the City of London at OMX Derivatives Exchange, Mahi rapidly ascended to executive positions within prestigious financial institutions across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East (ABN-AMRO Bank, Lippo Group-Hong Kong Chinese Bank, Calibrate Consulting, Loh Gronager Partners and others). As a forward-thinking strategist, Mahi excels in identifying and capitalising on emerging trends, leveraging her extensive cross-cultural insights to develop solutions and holistic approach. From 1994 to 2000, Mahi served as the inaugural Honorary Economic and Trade Commissioner of Greece in Hong Kong, appointed by the Greek government. This role underscored her dedication to enhancing Greece’s international trade and cultural relations. Throughout her career, Mahi has advised leading global companies and government organizations, utilizing a robust strategic approach to drive sustainable growth, even amidst crises. Her counsel has been instrumental in fostering positive impacts across diverse sectors. Mahi is a member of the Development Committee at the British School at Athens, under the British Academy’s auspices. Furthermore, she serves as the President of The Hellenic Female Leaders in UK, a non profit organization dedicated to supporting women on their leadership journeys. Recently, Mahi was elected a Member of The Board of Trustees for University of Patras. Additionally, she holds Board positions in philanthropic organizations that advocate for education, the arts, and women leadership. Outside of her professional life, Mahi is passionate about squash, swimming, and immersing herself in history and literature.
